Visiting the Pacific Northwest & have no idea where to begin? This map has the top sights in Seattle for a 12-24 hour visit. Seattle is a gorgeous city, especially in the summertime. So don’t skimp out on the water taxi, the Space Needle and South Lake Union to get a real feel for what the city has to offer.
Visit the Space Needle for breath taking views of the Seattle metro area skyline
Visit Amazon Spheres & the surrounding corporate campus.
Bonus: Befriend an employee so you can get a nice tour inside! Otherwise, check out the Spheres’ Understory area which is available to the public.
People watch Amazonians (aka Amazon employees) who generated $232.9 billion in 2018! You might even catch some other tech employees in the area (Facebook, Google etc)
Head over to Gas Works Park to soak up some sun (if it’s a nice day) & for stunning views of the city (again).
Seattle is full of views!
Explore the surrounding Fremont neighborhood & maybe the Fremont troll (it’s a mural), if you’re into that kind of stuff.
Head down south for dinner & entertainment. Some recommendations:
Downtown: Japonessa | think Peru meets Japan. Worth the wait; grab bar seating.
Pioneer Square: Casa Antiguo | delicious Mexican fare. Sit in the outdoor area if the indoor front side is full.
Chinatown: Dough Zone | dim sum all day, all night. Lines are long but move very fast. Get in line digitally via Yelp.
And explore all those areas while you’re at it.
Wind down with drinks; socialize with locals at any of the following spots:
Downtown: Nest Rooftop Lounge | some of the best views in Seattle (I know, more views), and their drinks are pretty great, too!
Capitol Hill & south: Neumos | see if your favorite indie artist is on stage
Rhein Haus | A German-themed beer lounge & also a great dance spot with a great top 100 DJ
Monkey Loft | Go here for your trance & EDM fix. There’s also a cool rooftop, but it’s only accessible after 2am, so double check before going.
And explore all those neighborhoods while you’re at it!
Seattle is smaller than other metro areas, but there’s still a lot to see & do. Have you done any other cool things in 1 day while in Seattle? Share in the comments!
