Visiting the Pacific Northwest & have no idea where to begin? This map has the top sights in Seattle for a 12-24 hour visit. Seattle is a gorgeous city, especially in the summertime. So don’t skimp out on the water taxi, the Space Needle and South Lake Union to get a real feel for what the city has to offer.

Breakfast & shopping at Pike Place Market. Don’t miss popular local shops like Beecher’s Handmade Cheese.

Explore the Pike Market area & take in Puget sound views

Swing by Biscuit Bitch if you can’t decide what to munch on – it’s local & delicious

Visit the Space Needle for breath taking views of the Seattle metro area skyline

Visit Amazon Spheres & the surrounding corporate campus.

Bonus: Befriend an employee so you can get a nice tour inside! Otherwise, check out the Spheres’ Understory area which is available to the public.

People watch Amazonians (aka Amazon employees) who generated $232.9 billion in 2018! You might even catch some other tech employees in the area (Facebook, Google etc)

Grab lunch at Soi restaurant in Cap Hill for spicy thai food & creative drinks.

Cool down your tongue with a trip to the delicious, local Molly Moon’s ice cream shop

Explore Capitol Hill, one of the “hippest” neighborhoods in Seattle

Head over to Gas Works Park to soak up some sun (if it’s a nice day) & for stunning views of the city (again).

Seattle is full of views!

Explore the surrounding Fremont neighborhood & maybe the Fremont troll (it’s a mural), if you’re into that kind of stuff.

Cross over to the Ballard neighborhood & check out the Ballard Beer Company.

Explore the surrounding Ballard neighborhood; see if you can spot any weird statues nearby.

If you have time, take a ride up north to Golden Gardens (Beach) Park & chill out for the rest of the afternoon.

Japonessa Cocina

Head down south for dinner & entertainment. Some recommendations:

Downtown: Japonessa | think Peru meets Japan. Worth the wait; grab bar seating.

Pioneer Square: Casa Antiguo | delicious Mexican fare. Sit in the outdoor area if the indoor front side is full.

Chinatown: Dough Zone | dim sum all day, all night. Lines are long but move very fast. Get in line digitally via Yelp.

And explore all those areas while you’re at it.

Wind down with drinks; socialize with locals at any of the following spots:

Downtown: Nest Rooftop Lounge | some of the best views in Seattle (I know, more views), and their drinks are pretty great, too!

South Lake Union: Love games? Check out SPIN Seattle for ping pong, Flatstick Pub for table golf/mini-golf or Art Marble 21 for some arcade-style gaming.

Nest Rooftop Bar @ Thompson Hotel

Capitol Hill & south: Neumos | see if your favorite indie artist is on stage

Rhein Haus | A German-themed beer lounge & also a great dance spot with a great top 100 DJ

Trinity Night Club or Xtadium | Closer to what you’d expect from a “night club”. Trinity is more electronic focused; Xtadium is focused on rap/hip hop.

Monkey Loft | Go here for your trance & EDM fix. There’s also a cool rooftop, but it’s only accessible after 2am, so double check before going.

And explore all those neighborhoods while you’re at it!

Seattle is smaller than other metro areas, but there’s still a lot to see & do. Have you done any other cool things in 1 day while in Seattle? Share in the comments!
